This week: Lengthen and luxuriate in each step. Dance on point by dancing on balance. Use a concert of body part isolations, moving over your feet, elongating your steps, and sinuous snake to make zouk happen like whoa! This is a recap of July's lessons but if you missed a few, don't worry, just come!
Some key techniques from July's "Zouk Your Body" Series:
-What is good dancing posture?
-Maintaining good dance posture while moving
-Isolations of the head and torso
-Isolating your base while travelling so that your upper body can be free
-Move leading with a single body part and let the others follow in a wave
-Snaking up and down
-Stepping beyond where your foot initially touches down
-Completing the weight transfer of a step and being ready to fire off in any direction, finishing on balance
-Bringing the hips with you every time you step
